Let’s talk about reincarnation and the purpose of our repeat soul journeys; ” sojourns”. In essence, life is an adventure of experiences whereby an individual is challenged to become a better person by having had these experiences, which enable us to become more in tune with our divine origins. The aim is for each soul to move closer toward enlightenment ” the higher Universe – God”, in each incarnation they experience. Yet whether or not that ideal is achieved comes down to free will, but regardless of each lifetime, the opportunity for soul growth is ever present.
According to the law of reincarnation, in each lifetime we are provided with experiences and relationships that we need at the present time. Whether or not we face these experiences and people, who may just as readily apparent to be “positive” as they do “negative” in the best possible manner, becomes a matter of our free will. Every choice, thought and decision we make in the present has an effect on the substance of the next series of potentials and probabilities in our lives ( what we draw to ourselves).
One set of choices may lead to growth, transformation, and ultimately happiness, and the other may lead to further problems, frustrations, and personal difficulties. Although we may not be conscious of the fact that everything we encounter in life can hold purpose and meaning.
One of the underlying principles during a life incarnation is the importance of personal responsibility in shaping the course of our lives, the lives of others, and the condition of the world around us. Simply stated, we have an effect upon every soul we encounter, and we have an integral role in creating our lives, experiences, relationships, and even world events. Our lives are not entirely destined; instead, we are active ” co-creators” in their unfoldment, and free will is the single strongest influence in an individual’s life.
Imagine two people facing a similar circumstance – say the loss of a job. Yet each person might deal with the situation in a very different manner. One might spend a great deal of time and energy becoming bitter and angry over what happened and the other might see it as a wonderful opportunity to “start all over” and something which has always been a desire. Although the situation is the same, each person’s response is quite different. The way a person responds to a situation determines the next cycle; the next crossroads called into action. Hindrance and defeat are something we all experience multiple times at any given time in our lives, and each of these potential realities is created for us to better ourselves. Some of these thwarting realities will continue to be part of our lives until we grow from these experiences and respond in a positive light.
What makes reincarnation important is that the past lays much of the groundwork for an individual’s opportunities in the present; including our past actions in past lives. We possess positive and negative patterns of behavior, these patterns are mapped and further developed by our present thought processes and activities. With free will, a soul can develop along the lines of a saint or a beast. Since it is just as easy to pick up and continue to cultivate a negative pattern of behavior as a positive one, souls are frequently advised on positive intent by the means of intuitive messages (our intuition) from the divine, spirit guides, friends, and family in spirit, including people and experiences we encounter during our lives. and of course, not all individual souls listen to good advice.
In the course of an individual’s soul incarnations, the method of weighing daily life against spiritual ideals becomes the most important experience of each and every soul. Once an individual soul manages to tune in with these spiritual ideals they in turn become a better person (soul), moving closer towards enlightenment. The age of a soul depends on how many lifetimes a soul has reincarnated and how fast it has learned life’s lessons. Most of us have heard of new souls or old souls. Each soul can be put into a soul age group and the sequences are categorised as follows: New Souls, Child souls, Young Souls, Mature Souls, Old souls, and ancient Souls.
The older the soul, the wiser the soul. ancient souls surpass the wisdom of old souls and have already reached full enlightenment, having already joined with the source ( some call this the universe, The light of God). In essence, we are not physical bodies with souls, but souls who happen to be having a physical existence; spiritual beings.
